Sometimes it suddenly becomes painfully quiet in the yew hedge that separates our garden from that of our neighbours. At first it was not clear why the chirping of the sparrows suddenly had stopped. But after a while the cause became clear; a sparrowhawk had landed in our Lilac tree. Luckily I was able to quickly grab my camera and take a photo.
